JULY 2002
Anorak Hour Nr 315 b/c 7th July 2002

Pulse FM's 3rd closedown anniversary is belatedly celebrated this week with extensive coverage from their final day on air.
Dublin pirate radio has a history of feuds, and this week the programme focusses on Big D and Radio Dublin from 1980.
On 98Fm, Paul Egan - a Radio Dublin regular from the 70s - then Aidan Cooney are airchecked from July 1998.
Pete Reed then presents this week's news.

Anorak Hour Nr 316 b/c 14th July 2002

This show features Dave C on Radio Dublin back in 1989 at a time when there were virtually no other pirate stations on air.
Pirate radio 80s London style is featured next with a recording of Sunday-only station London FM.
Offshore antics in the form of Radio Tower are then featured.
Finally, the ever-popular Pat Courtenay is sampled from 1985 on Sunshine Radio.
Finishing the show is the news section presented by Pete Reed.

Anorak Hour Nr 317 b/c 21st July 2002

This show features a wealth of Radio Nova output from 1983. Tom Hardy on air on the day of the station's closedown in May 1983 is followed by some famous names of today on air in September 1983 during Nova's 10k marathon. Then an extract from current affairs programme Dublin Today precedes 'Your Man', Mike Moran on air.
Phantom-like Canadian station Q107 Pure Rock is up next.
Then there are recordings from the week the authorities forced Bray's dance station Passion FM off the air.
Also, from November 1979, there's a snippet from Big D's FRC programme.
Finally, Pete Reed presents this week's news.

Anorak Hour Nr 318 b/c 28th July 2002

On this week's show, New Zealand radio is featured in the shape of Lite-like The Breeze from Wellington from 1999.
Then samples from 80s pirate Bray Local Broadcasting are given an airing, followed by Dublin's 80s alternative rock station Capitol Radio from December 1988.
Another Capitol was the first local legal station on air after the 1989 shake-up. In Dublin, the previous incarnation of FM104 launched in July 1989.
Finally, Pete Reed presents this week's news.
