Anorak Hour Nr 264 b/c 8th July 2001
Anorak Hour 264 was the first of 2001. Broadcast in July just after the station returned to Dublin's FM band following the failed licence bid, the show featured clips from the last Anorak Hour before the station closed, clips from the station's closedown and subsequent relaunch plus a recording of Sydney's Radio Nova.

Broadcast on 29th July 2001, show Nr 267 featured Bob Gallico reminiscing on East Coast Radio with his old Radio Nova Breakfast Show partner Declan Meehan and then a recording of his debut on Treble TR in March 1988. Spectrum FM's early beginnings were featured as was Barry Dunne's - now with 98FM - on NSR. An early ARD recording followed by some Laser 558 finished the archives section of the show before this week's news was presented by Pete Reed.

This broadcast featured John Walters - who died midweek - and some BBC Radio 1 jingles. Recordings of Peter Madison on Southside 95FM in December 1987 can be heard followed by an airing of the classic sixties song "We Love the Pirate Stations". An interview with Paul Davidson in 1990 on Radio Dublin concerning the superpirate era was followed by some clips from the stations mentioned. A recent recording from Galtee Radio in Limerick is aired and finally, RTE Radio 1's John Creedon in his pirate days on ERI in Cork. The show, as usual, finished with the week's news presented by Pete Reed.

Not surprisingly, Anorak Hour 274, broadcast on September 16th, contained reflections concerning the events and radio recordings from the heart of one of the affected cities.
Ex-Capitol Radio presenter Dave McGrath was featured from his days at DSCR. The raid on Radio Nova in 1983 was featured in the shape of how RTÉ and Eamon Cooke reported the event.
